Statera Talent are currently partnered with a Bournemouth based accounting business. They are looking for an accountant to join their small and experienced team. Established 30 years ago, you will work with their extensive client base, including retail, hospitality, engineering, manufacturing, service-based companies, charities, and schools.

Accountancy qualifications are not essential, they are looking for someone with practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements using accounting software

• Bookkeeping and payroll management

• Quarterly VAT return preparation

• General accounting and finance tasks

• Conducting client meetings

• Addressing tax planning and business advisory matters

Qualifications

• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and reconciliations

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Quickbooks, and Xero

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software

• Experience with IRIS is preferred but not essential

• Minimum of three years' experience is essential

Role Details

The position will be office-based during the initial 3 month probation period. Upon successful completion of probation, a hybrid work model will be introduced.
