JMC are working with a MRO based in Manchester, looking to recruit a new Check Manager Support Engineer to join their team.
This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. The company has been operating for close to 30 years, providing outstanding customer service and encouraging a warm, positive environment to aid employee progression.
This is a Permanent Position based in Manchester.
Working Monday - Friday with two options of shift: 07:00 - 15:30 or 15:00 - 23:30.

The Role
The Check Management Support Engineer or CMSE plays a critical role in the planning, execution, and oversight of scheduled maintenance checks for aircraft. This includes coordinating technical support, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and optimizing resources to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Other duties involve:
- Liaise, discuss and agree with the Customer for all over and above tasks ensuring that they are signed off by the on-site rep PRIOR to the work commencing and/or prior to any potential over-run.
- Ensure that any queries with are discussed and highlighted and agreed with Commercial.
- Monitor hours from booking report to spot any potential overruns on O&A's or any booking errors which may affect O&A's
- Create, Maintain and Send Task Card over-runs and O&A sheet(s) for Commercial and Base Management review at any time during any input.
- Monitor the overall check budget at Task card level highlighting overrunning to Managers, Lead Mechanics by Zonal Technicians on a regular basis. Routine and Defect.
- Advise the Check Manager of staff on Non-Productive bookings.
- Assist the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance input in line with the agreed plan.
- Update accurately the Daily Status and Customer Status Report on behalf of the Check
- Create a daily report and send to the customer (post Check Manager approval
- Send daily customer status report to customer at an agreed time.
- Coordinating contracted and sub-contracted activities to maintain project timelines.
- Liaise with all third-party working parties to ensure PO's, purchase requests and work is carried out and act as a point of contact for third parties on site.
- Raise any additional cards added to the work pack.
Skills and experience required.
Check Manager Support Engineer will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Suitable experience in aviation related field and/or work, or the demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Commercial awareness a necessity
- Full UK Driving licence Essential.
- Strong Organizational & Interpersonal Communication Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of budget hour vs task hour time management and assignment
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office
- Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and be flexible to meet changing working requirements
