Company Overview:
This UK-based company specialises in manufacturing tools and equipment for the installation and maintenance of overhead electrical and communication networks. A key product focus is on cable grips, which are vital for safely handling cables during installation and maintenance. The company produces some of its cable grips in India and others in the UK.

In addition to cable grips, it also offers solutions for cable protection and custom products for unique installation requirements in sectors such as power and telecommunications.

Job Specification - Day to Day:
As a Business Development Manager, your main responsibility will be identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company's presence across the UK, Europe, and potentially Africa. The role requires periodic visits to the office, usually every 3 weeks. Your daily tasks will include:
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
• Collaborating with internal teams to implement business development strategies.
• Analysing market trends and competitor activities to support decision-making.
• Creating and delivering compelling pitches to potential clients to secure new business.

Essential Requirements:
• A strong engineering and technical background, with the ability to engage confidently with engineers and understand the technical aspects of products and services.
• Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in a relevant industry.
• A successful track record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Experience in selling industrial products would be highly beneficial.
• Experience within the oil and gas industry is an advantage.

Salary/Contract hourly/daily rate:
£40,000 - £60,000 DOE
