Bridge Engineer

Bridge Design & Civil Infrastructure - Glasgow

First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer who is seeking a talented Bridge Engineer to join their team. Our client works on a variety of exciting projects across highways, rail, and marine structures, with a strong track record of excellence in these sectors.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and analysis of new/existing bridges, rail bridges, footbridges, marine structures and roads
Utilise your expertise to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Conduct feasibility studies, perform structural assessments, and provide technical recommendations
Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports
Attend site visits and meetings when required

What we need from you

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
3 years of experience working within a design engineering environment in the UK
Chartered (CEng) preferred or working towards
Proven experience in the design of new/existing bridges and rail infrastructure
Proficiency in software such as Midas, LUSAS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or similar
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
