A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HGV Driver at a specialised industrial service provider. This role will also involve helping the workshop with some basic labouring duties whilst you wait for your next delivery.

Responsibilities:

50/50 time spent between laboring and HGV Driving
HGV Driving - transporting stock
Stock transported - collect motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps, general rotating equipment
General laboring within workshop - cleaning, moving, assisting engineers on jobs, housekeeping on site
Required to load and unload during the role themselves, trained to use cranes within workshop to load deliveries.
Covering south of England and beyond, go to as far as Cardiff, on occasion
Every day will be varied, e.g., one day down to Portsmouth Naval Yard, one day local, one day Cardiff, one day just in workshop assisting

Experience/Knowledge:

Heaviest vehicle will be 7.5 ton - Class C1 + E
CPC Essential and DigiDriver card
Fluent in English - customer facing when unloading deliveries on customers sites, level of customer service to be able to handle that interaction
Candidates with solely HGV driver experience is fine, can be assisted and trained on in the rest of duties
Willing to perform ad-hoc duties as required

Hours: Working the hours are 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

Salary: £30k (with great overtime rates)
