We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and thriving team at a well-established two-form entry primary school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to children with additional needs, including ADHD and ASD, both in the classroom and during interventions.

  • Assist pupils in accessing all aspects of the curriculum effectively.

  • Undertake targeted interventions with small groups or individual pupils to support their learning and development.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.

  • Monitor and record pupil's progress, providing feedback to staff and parents as required.

  • Promote positive behaviour and support the emotional well-being of the children in your care.

What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, specifically ADHD and ASD.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting inclusively.

  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting children's learning.
