Leader Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a Mainstream Primary School based in North Tyneside. The successful LSA will work 1:1 and in small groups with children who may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ideally have experience working with children in a relevant field.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 3:30pm and is a long-term position. An immediate start available for those who have a DBS on the Update service.

The successful candidate will have:

• An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
• Direct experience or qualification in
• Experience of working with young children.
• A motivating and supportive presence towards the children.
• An encouraging attitude towards the students by assisting them with their needs within the classroom.
• Clear communication skills.
• An ability to empower the students when reaching achievements or small goals.
• Help to plan classroom activities and prepare materials needed for each lesson.
