Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome behavioural challenges? GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Behaviour Manager to join a welcoming and supportive team in Sheffield. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the life of a young person by providing focused, personalised behavioural support.  

The Role:

As a 1:1 Behaviour Manager, you will be working one-on-one with a student, focusing on improving their behaviour, helping them navigate school life and developing their positive emotions as well as behaviour patterns. Your role will be vital in guiding the student through their challenges, offering encouragement, and building strategies to support their emotional and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 Behaviour Manager:

Provide direct, one-on-one behavioural support to a designated student.
Develop and implement individualised behaviour management plans.
Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
Support the student in meeting both behavioural and academic targets.
Foster a positive and trusting relationship with the student to promote engagement.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to behaviour management.
Create a safe, supportive environment where the student can thrive.
Essential Requirements for a 1:1 Behaviour Manager:

Previous experience in a 1:1 Behaviour Manager role or similar setting is desirable.
Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
A patient, compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to supporting young people.
Proficient in verbal communication and interpersonal interactions.
A good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
