A leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy In Bristol is seeking an experienced Head of Health & Safety to join their growing South West team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic Health & Safety professional to lead and develop the company's H&S division, working on a range of high-profile projects across multiple sectors.

The Head of Health & Safety Role

As the Head of Health & Safety, you will be responsible for overseeing all health and safety aspects within the consultancy, ensuring compliance across a wide range of projects. You will lead a team of H&S professionals, providing guidance and strategic direction, and work closely with senior management to enhance the company's health and safety culture.

The successful Head of Health & Safety will

Lead the Health & Safety division across multiple projects and sectors.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015 regulations.
Provide strategic advice to clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure best practices are implemented.
Develop and manage H&S policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.
Oversee site audits and inspections, ensuring safety standards are maintained.
Manage a team of H&S professionals, providing training and development opportunities.
Drive the company's commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety across all projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need

A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent).
Extensive experience in a senior H&S role, ideally within a construction or consultancy environment.
In-depth knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant health and safety legislation.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading teams.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Membership of a relevant professional body (IOSH, APS) is highly desirable.

£70,000 - £80,000 per annum (flexible depending on experience).
