Warehouse Operatives needed

SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit Warehouse Operatives, for our client based in Newport area, HU15. Our client is producing high quality craft bakery goods for its own retail shop and for its many wholesale bakery customers.

Ideal candidate for a Warehouse Operatives role will have:

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Physical ability to lift and move products as required.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in packing and order picking.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, bakery, or production line setting is a plus but not required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities and Duties of a Warehouse Operatives

• Operate and monitor bakery production line machinery to ensure smooth workflow.
• Sort, pack, and label baked goods according to company standards.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately for shipment.
• Load and unload trucks with raw ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products.
• Inspect products for quality, removing any that do not meet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the production and warehouse areas.
• Follow food safety and health regulations, ensuring proper handling of baked goods.
• Assist with stock control, organizing and storing bakery products efficiently.
• Work as part of a team to meet production and delivery targets.

Shift times for a Warehouse Operatives:

• Working 4 on 4 off rota
• Day shift: 6am-6pm
• Night shift: 6pm- 6am

Pay Rates for Warehouse Operatives:

• Day shift £12/h
• Night shift £13/h
