Location:IpswichVacancy Type:Fixed Term Part TimeHours Per Week:14.5Saturday and SundayShift Pattern Start 07:00 Shift Pattern End: 14:30Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025. Shifts 7am to 2.45pm Saturday and Sunday
1.2 Overall Purpose of the roleAssist with a range food and beverage service activities on the wards. Main aim will be to carry out a range of catering duties, ensuring a high-quality service is provided at all times.Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your work activities.1.3 Main Duties & Responsibilities of the RoleAssisting with food preparation / probing food for temperature / completing due diligence paperworkDishing up food and drinks on the ward to patientsReplacing / refilling of water jugsAssist with collection and washing up of cutlery, crockery and traysKeeping the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for the next shiftOrdering stock and filling upReport broken equipment to supervisor
2.2 Professional QualificationsFood Hygiene Certificate at National Level 1 - preferred but not essential as training will be given2.3 ExperienceExperience in catering roleGood customer service skills Use of tablet is desirable but training will be provided2.4 Personal Characteristics/Attributes for the roleTeamwork skillsGood time management skillsAbility to work under pressure Attention to detail2.5 Personal Characteristics/Attributes for the Health & Safety aspects of the role1. Ability to follow policy and procedures2. Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels
