Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a Civil Engineer to join their existing team in Plymouth (mostly remote working, onsite once a month) on a 52 week contract.

The Role

As a Civil Engineer, you'll work with multi-discipline infrastructure system designs to provide an overall sustainment capability. Your responsibilities will include the following but not limited to:

Management of the civil engineering elements of the Facility ensuring designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice for civil engineering
Provide Technical design guidance and review of civil design packages
Provide Technical design guidance and review integration of civil designs with other design packages
Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget
Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and effectively contributing to the project's technical planning process

You

To succeed within the role of a Civil Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:

A degree in Civil Engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council or working towards chartership
Civil Engineering experience in the areas below (preferably in a marine environment):
Ducts and Networks
Swept Path Analysis
Roads & Hardstanding's
Miscellaneous foundations (lighting, bollards etc.)
Marine remedial civil repairs

Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
