Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join their team on a part-time basis, working day shifts in a medium-sized nursing home that provides high-quality residential and nursing care for older adults. Located on the edge of Cheltenham, the home offers a warm and friendly environment, supported by a dedicated nursing and care team.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
  • Experience: Post-registration experience in a nursing home or similar care setting.
  • Professional Development: Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Compassion & Empathy: A caring and patient-centred approach to supporting residents.
  • Adaptability: Ability to prioritise effectively and handle changing situations in a dynamic care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to elderly residents during day shifts.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and record residents' vital signs, symptoms, and any changes in condition.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver holistic and person-centred care.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Family Support: Educate and guide residents and their families regarding care plans and ongoing support.
  • Safety & Hygiene: Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment at all times.
