Our client are seeking an experience Management Accountant to join their growing team based in Henley on Thames following an exciting period of growth and change within the business.

Working closely with the CFO, you will be an integral member of the team, helping to ensure the smooth running of the finance functions across the business.

Key Duties

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Bookkeeping and managing payroll providers
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Have primary responsibility for all company banking
• Preparation of statistical returns
• Prepare journals to ensure costs are recognised in the correct accounting period
• Responsible for Fixed Asset register and Depreciation
• Support in the development and production of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
• Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
• Analytical review of the company’s financial performance based on financial records
• Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
• Preparation of year end schedules
• Monthly / quarterly / annual sales commissions calculations
• Overseeing and managing other aspects of financial operations
• Maintaining financial controls and processes
• Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Fully or part qualified Accountant
• Experience within a similar position
• Strong understanding on financial language
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organised with keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Experience with Xero would be beneficial
