Mid-level fullstack software engineer. Full time contract role - may lead to permanent full time employment

Great opportunity to work for a cutting edge cyber and media data company. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing our cloud-based cyber intelligence platform and systems as part of a small, home-based cross-functional team, reporting to the head software developer.

We are looking for a diligent and enthusiastic individual with solid familiarity of the latest full stack frameworks. Hands-on programming experience is helpful. Exposure to cloud operations and administration is a bonus.

You must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision, have good interpersonal skills and be able to manage user issues and expectations. You will follow and contribute to best practices using functional and typesafe development in an Agile environment. You must be able to communicate complex technology issues clearly and be able to present to team and clients. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic scale up company of 10-15 staff.

Essential experience/skills

• SQL
• Familiarity with frontend and backend programming
• Linux environment, shell (bash) and command line tools
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or work experience in a related field

Desirable experience/skills

• Programming in Scala, Java, PHP, Rust, Go
• AWS or related cloud administration experience
• Modern Javascript and Chrome web extension development
• Web Development Frameworks, ideally React or Svelte
• Machine Learning/AI
• Continuous Integration and/or Delivery
• Android or any other mobile device development
• Ad Tech
