We are seeking an experienced Functional Skills Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team. This position offers great career progression and flexible working opportunities. As a tutor, you'll manage a caseload of learners across various programmes, delivering both workplace-based training and classroom sessions in Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans, motivating learners to succeed.
* Manage a diverse caseload of learners, delivering sessions in both employers' workplaces and the classroom.
* Achieve required outcomes in English and Maths from Entry Level to L2/GCSE.
* Raise achievement levels for learners while providing consistent support and motivation.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience delivering English and Maths (Entry to Level 2, including GCSE).
* Strong background in working with a diverse range of learners, including both adults and young people.
* A recognised teaching qualification.
* Ability to manage disengaged learners and maintain positive classroom dynamics.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
* A driving licence and own transport are essential.
* L5 subject specialism in English and Maths is desirable but not essential.
