The school are seeking a passionate and motivated Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, inspiring Science lessons in line with the national curriculum across Key Stage 3 and 4.

Plan, prepare and evaluate schemes of work, lessons and homework assignments in accordance with departmental and school policy.

Assess, mark and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to parents/carers and senior leaders.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates and challenges all students.

Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's behaviour policy and ensure a safe, respectful classroom culture.

Participate in departmental meetings, CPD opportunities, and contribute to curriculum development.

Take part in the school's wider pastoral and enrichment programmes.

Support students in preparing for external assessments, including GCSEs, ensuring they reach their full academic potential.

Essential Criteria:

A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or QTLS) with a specialism in Science.

A minimum of 6 month's recent teaching experience in the UK at secondary level.

Demonstrated ability to teach Science to Key Stage 3 and 4.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.

Proficient in planning, delivering and assessing engaging and differentiated lessons.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

Experience supporting students through the GCSE curriculum in one or more of the science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

Familiarity with current educational initiatives, strategies and resources in science education.

Willingness to contribute to extracurricular science clubs, trips, or STEM-related activities.
