Job Overview
Oversee production line operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Coordinate and assign tasks to line workers, and implement and monitor quality control measures to meet product specifications and customer satisfaction.

This is a permanent position, working 36 hours a week, consisting of three 12 hour shifts per week.

Key Responsibilities

Set up production lines for efficient operation, including machinery setup.

Ensure the line/machinery operates safely throughout the shift.

Foster a positive work environment and motivate the team.

Collaborate with the shift manager to ensure effective team utilization.

Complete necessary paperwork such as pre-operation checks and product changeovers.

Actively engage in problem-solving and promote continuous improvement.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Product Quality: Ensure that the quality of all products meets customer standards, including sealing, labelling, packaging, and weight/finished pack quantities.

Efficiency: Ensure production line equipment operates at maximum efficiency to meet the Daily Production Plan.

Team Management: Assist and train team members to reach their full potential through communication, coaching, and identifying training needs.

Paperwork Completion: Ensure the completion of all required documentation, including pre-operation checks and product changeovers.

Yield Accuracy: Monitor and maintain accurate yields, reporting any discrepancies.

Health & Safety: Ensure the safety of all operators in the production environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Communication: Maintain a high level of communication with the team, other departments, quality control staff, engineering, and technical teams.

Troubleshooting: Resolve immediate and medium-term issues related to line performance, stock control (raw material & packaging), staffing, and training needs.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

Ability to optimize area setup, including process equipment, planning, stock, packaging, and labor to meet targets.

Capable of coaching and training others to pass on skills.Experience in production and production systems/processes.
