Salary: £40000 - £45000/annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable construction company based in Stirling. This role offers the chance to work on diverse projects across various sectors, including commercial, education, and healthcare, providing cost management and financial oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. With a secure long-term work pipeline, this role is ideal for someone who is looking to put down roots and develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and cost control.
Assist in cost estimating and tender preparation for new projects.
Administer contracts, including reviewing terms, valuations, and managing claims or disputes.
Source and procure subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring best value for the company.
Provide regular financial reporting, including cost-value reconciliations.
Identify and manage project risks, offering solutions to mitigate potential impacts.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Ensure all projects comply with industry standards and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or engineering sectors.
Knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC) and strong cost management skills.
Experience in procurement and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, cost estimating tools).

Desirable:

Professional membership (RICS or equivalent).
Familiarity with BIM and digital project management tools.
