An Accounts Assistant is needed to join our Accounting & Finance team in the Manufacturing industry. The role involves maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports.

Our client is a leading player in the Manufacturing industry with over 2000 employees spread across their various branches. The company headquarters is located in Warrington and they are well-established with a solid reputation for looking after their staff.

Description

• The day to day processing of sales & purchases invoices ensuring all these are processed within the systems in a timely and accurate manner
• Supporting the Finance Manager in the management of its financial position by providing regular flash financial reports as well as any additional ad hoc reporting requirements
• Daily bank receipts, payments processing and reconciliations
• Management of the monthly employee records to aid the processing of the central payroll
• Management of the supplier and customer and customer accounts
• Completing all regulatory reporting including but not limited to VAT.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software.
• AAT qualification or currently studying
• In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures.
• Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
• Good organisational and time-management abilities.
• Review resources and workload, adjusting as necessary to ensure deadlines are met.
• Communicate in a timely clear way, checking for misunderstanding and dealing with it promptly.
