Design Support Engineer

Job Description

Our client is a renowned design and manufacturer of high-speed machinery, a business that encourages autonomy and growth, with a strong backbone in engineering. They are currently seeking an Engineering Support professional to join and work with the Design Team to ensure that the Design work carried out is seamless for their customers.

Job Responsibilities

* Compiling top level BOMs using Inventor (training provided)

* Checking of both mechanical and electrical parts are correctly documented against specs

* Work closely with Design, Purchasing, Sales and Production to ensure systems are dispatched correctly

* Create 2D drawings for factory schematics, this may involve working directly with customers

* Raise concerns regarding project work with the Design Team to ensure any potential issues are managed effectively and efficiently

Skill Required

* Engineering Qualification (HNC/HND, City & Guilds Level 3, Apprenticeship or Degree)

* A clear understanding of mechanical BOMs and how they are constructed

* Ability to interpret Mechanical drawings

* Experience within a Engineering Support role previously would be ideal

Compensation & Other Benefits

* £25,000 to £30,000 (dependant on experience)

* Extensive Training across Product, Assembly (Electrical/Electronic & Mechanical), and MRP
