About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Humanities Teacher to join our school in the Vale of Glamorgan. The successful candidate will inspire students across key stages, fostering an understanding of history, geography, and related disciplines. This role involves delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and a passion for the humanities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Humanities lessons aligned with the Curriculum for Wales, covering a range of topics in history, geography, and more.
Inspire students to explore the interconnectedness of human societies, environments, and cultures.
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, tailoring support to meet individual learning needs.
Contribute to the school community by organizing subject-related events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and academic achievement.
About You
You will be a qualified teacher with a strong foundation in humanities subjects and a comprehensive understanding of the Curriculum for Wales. You should have excellent communication skills, a commitment to student development, and the ability to inspire a love for the humanities.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a focus on Humanities.
Experience teaching humanities subjects, preferably in a secondary school setting.
In-depth knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and effective assessment practices.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
A commitment to promoting critical thinking, global awareness, and lifelong learning.
