The School - PRU English Teacher
Based in the South East of London, specifically in the borough of Bromley, this Pupil Referral Unit caters for students that have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream school in KS3 and KS4. Most students are on a 6-8 week programme however in some cases student's will stay at the PRU for different lengths of time. The PRU is based in a multicultural area of London and they make it their goal to improve student's behaviour, attitude and attendance with a long term aim to transition all students back into mainstream education.

The Role - PRU English Teacher
The ideal PRU English Teacher will have a minimum of two years teaching experience in the UK, specifically having taught the UK English National Curriculum, therefore you must be up to date with new GCSE grading system. As a PRU English Teacher you must have the ability to tailor and accommodate your lessons to meet the needs of each individual student in the classroom as ability levels will vary. This PRU are looking for an English Teacher that has outstanding behaviour management as well as a good sense of humour to enable you to build a strong rapport with students. You will be supported in class by a minimum of two teaching assistants at all times to support with classroom and behaviour management.
