Role Overview

This will lead procurement activities for mechanical and electrical equipment and materials across multiple projects. This critical role ensures that project requirements are fulfilled efficiently, economically, and in alignment with company standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and logistics coordination to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of materials to project sites in accordance with schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead end-to-end procurement of mechanical and electrical equipment and materials for multiple projects.

* Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, efficiency, and supplier performance targets.

* Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to understand project requirements and timelines.

* Ensure on-time delivery of materials to project sites, coordinating logistics and addressing potential delays or challenges proactively.

* Manage and monitor supplier performance, including quality, cost, and delivery metrics.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to support long-term partnerships.

* Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

* Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency across projects.

* Stay up-to-date with market trends, new products, and supply chain developments to enhance procurement strategies.

Key Requirements:

* Extensive experience in procurement, specifically in mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment and materials.

* Proven track record of delivering cost savings and driving procurement efficiencies across projects.

* Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.

* Excellent understanding of M&E specifications, project timelines, and procurement challenges.

* Proficiency in coordinating logistics and ensuring seamless material delivery to project sites.

* Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers.

* High level of commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

* Strong organisational and project management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

* Experience within the energy, construction, or similar sector is highly desirable
