Deputy Home Manager

Location: Nottingham (NG16)

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm - fully supernumerary

Time Recruitment is selecting for a longstanding local community home that has been in operation for over 25 years serving the elderly living locally; with lots of recent investment into the home and technology the service is searching for a Deputy Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations.

A small service at maximum occupancy it has 35 beds; its easily manageable and the outstanding team based in the service area all longstanding members of staff as a Deputy Home Manager here you will be supported by a clinical lead who is very progressive.

The service has undergone a period of change; if you are a forward-thinking Deputy Home Manager who is happy to roll out change and drive forward clinical excellent this is the role for you; the service is largely nursing orientated and offering general nursing, palliative care and some non-challenging dementia nursing with 24 beds occupied at this time.

Duties for the Deputy Home Manager role:

- Overseeing the staff with daily tasks

- Upskilling care staff where required

- Overseeing 1 nurse and several senior care and care staff

- Skill mixing and assisting with the rota when needed

- Staff appraisal and supervisions

- Assisting with auditing and clinical governance

- Assessments and CQC notifications

Criteria for the Deputy Home Manager role:

- Ideally NMC registered nurse or 4+ years in a leadership role in care homes

- Understanding of the elderly care environment

- Understanding of CQC guidelines and NICE guidelines

- Preferably NVQ level 5 qualified but not essential
