Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced SCO (Shutdown Coordination and Operations) Manager to join their team on their Flagship project in Kent. This role is pivotal in managing and coordinating planned outages, shutdowns, and site operations, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently. The SCO Manager will be the primary point of contact between the site team and the water utility

* Manage and oversee the operation of the SCO system to ensure planned work is executed flawlessly.

* Lead and manage the entire process of planned outages and shutdowns, ensuring minimal disruption and compliance with safety standards

* Conduct thorough reviews of method statements to ensure all work is carried out according to the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

* Main point of contact for the water utility, providing regular updates, building confidence, and ensuring that the client's needs and concerns are addressed promptly

* Ensure all activities are compliant with safety regulations, giving the client confidence in our ability to manage complex shutdowns under scrutiny.

* Effectively communicate with all stakeholders involved, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned with the shutdown process.

* Prepare and deliver presentations to the client and senior leadership team. .

* Key Skills and Qualifications

* Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.

* Proven experience in managing planned outages, shutdowns, and site operations.

* Excellent project management skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.

* Experience in dealing with highpressure situations and maintaining client confidence.

* Competence in preparing and delivering presentations to clients.

* Familiarity with the water industry is a plus, but not required.
