About The Company:OCS UK & Ireland is a leading facilities management company with a turnover of £1.7bn and 50,000+ colleagues.We deliver innovative, award-winning services to the public and private sectors and our mission is to make people and places the best they can be.This role sits within our Private Sector FM business division that provides catering, cleaning, hard services, pest control, and security services to a wide range of prestigious clients, within the Venues market.About The Role:Here at OCS, we have an exciting opportunity we are recruiting for a small works project manager to join our fast-paced small works team in the private FM sector. This role will report directly to the Technical Director, and you will be responsible for the running of multiple small works projects from the value of £5,000 to £100,000 across the client base. These projects are a mixture of Self delivered via the inhouse project engineers and subcontracted via the OCS supply chain, therefore experience of managing both is essential for this role.Whilst this is a north of England and Scotland based role occasional travel out of area may be required, this role comes with a company car and occasional overnight stay maybe required The role will require you to meet with the clients on site across the region and scope out the works, measure up and produce a formal quotation by pricing up the labour, Materials and specialists subcontracted works. If accepted, you will manage the delivery of the project ensuring that is completed to a safe and high standard of finish handing it back tot the client upon completion. You will also work with the invoicing teams to ensure your work invoiced correctly. The successful candidate be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously, developing strong relationships and a strong pipeline to promote growth.Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management, ensuring safe and profitable delivery
- Price and plan projects, and manage labour and materials effectively
- Manage multiple projects, ranging from simple to complex
- Oversee invoicing, profit margins, and cash flow for all projects
- Ensure all projects are entered into the company's CRM system
- Provide technical support to the operations team on complex electrical or mechanical contract elements
- Attend client meetings to deliver regular project updates
- Conduct site safety visits to ensure compliance with contract standards
- Manage sub-contractors and perform performance reviews
- Conduct H&S audits on OCS and subcontractors
- Oversee the management of PPMs & hard services on-site
Essential Criteria you must meet:
- Previous experience of managing projects works
- Right to work in the UK
- Driving licence
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Good attention to detail and level of accuracy.
- Positive attitude and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to achieving results
Desirable criteria:
- HNC in engineer discipline (desirable not essential)
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Construction design and management regulations qualification (CDMR) - (desirable not essential)
- CSCS qualification (desirable not essential)
- Site management training safety scheme (SMSTS) - (desirable not essential)
