Here at Alexander Steele Recruitment we continue to partner with an award winning, premium food manufacturer that supplies a wide range of quality products in to retailers, food service and B2B. Due to continued growth, the business is looking to appoint a Quality Assurance Manager at their facility in London.

The role: As Quality Assurance Manager you will report into, support and deputise for the Technical Mamaher. Day to day you will lead and supervise the quality assurance team to ensure that all products are safe and conform to all specification, legislation and customer requirements.
Key accountabilities;
• Management of the internal audit schedule, conduct audits and ensure completed on time
• Monitor KPIs and ensure team compliance at all times.
• Work with the wider Quality and Technical team to ensure investigation of customer complaints and supplier issues are dealt with in a timely manner, determine and close non-conformances.
• Undertake product checks and testing.
• Manage micro sampling, product swabbing and environmental monitoring plans
• Conduct shelf-life testing.
• Management of the Quality team and ensure the development and coaching to ensure they foster culture of food safety and quality.
• Conduct compliance training.
• Ensure product quality, legality, and safety, adhere to QA budget, and achieve KPIs.
• Enforce company culture, rules and processes across the team at all times.

The candidate:
• At least 3 years Quality Management or supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
• A relevant degree or equivalent working experience
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal English)
• Experience of facilitating internal auditing process
• Good working knowledge of BRC, HACCP, Food Safety, GMP and Quality Management Systems
