We are currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality team, reporting to the Quality and Test Engineering Manager. The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the QMS and supporting the Quality Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the QMS to ensure compliance with BS EN ISO 9001.
Conduct internal audits to monitor the operation and effectiveness of the QMS and facilitate continual improvement.
Ensure appropriate corrective actions from recorded non-conformances are implemented and effective.
Develop QMS elements with process owners, including processes, procedures, and operating instructions.
Work closely with the Supply Chain team, responsible for on-site supplier assessment and approval.
Liaise with suppliers to ensure the on-time supply of conforming materials and services and resolve issues with non-compliant products.
Act as a customer-facing liaison on Quality issues.
Review customer bids and contracts for Quality requirements and prepare Quality Plans.
Perform fault analysis and generate reports on customer returns.
Sign off Certificates of Conformance (CofC) in accordance with relevant company procedures.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:

Experienced in managing a QMS within a design and manufacturing environment.
Qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent; Engineering related discipline is highly desirable.
Confident and credible communicator, able to interact plausibly in all business settings.
Experienced in managing and conducting internal and supplier audits.
Proficient in "8D" problem-solving methodology, including use of 5-Whys and Ishikawa/Cause and Effect diagrams.
Able to create and develop clear and concise QMS elements, including processes, procedures, and workflows.
Desirable:

Experience within the electro-mechanical defence-based industry applying AQAP2110 and/or AS9100 QMS standards.
CQI or IRCA membership.
