JobMatcha are recruiting for a hard-working Senior Commercial Manager with expertise in Facilities Management (FM) and Construction within the Healthcare PFI sector. We are seeking a dynamic leader to manage the commercial team, ensuring profitability while fostering team growth, client engagement, and collaboration. The role includes coaching and developing the commercial staff, supporting the Project Director and operations team, and working closely with the finance team to ensure financial and contractual success across healthcare projects.

Tasks and Responsibilities for the position:

Lead and Develop the Commercial Team, provide leadership to the commercial team, focusing on coaching and developing staff to build their capabilities. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring the team aligns with overall project and organizational goals.

Commercial Management of FM Works, oversee the commercial management of Facilities Management (FM) services, ensuring a balance between competitiveness and profitability. Lead financial processes related to FM works, integrating them with the overall delivery of healthcare PFI projects.

Commercial Management of Construction Works (Lifecycle/Capex), lead the commercial management of lifecycle and CAPEX works, ensuring financial efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Oversee budgeting, cost planning, and lifecycle management strategies to maintain asset performance and compliance.

Support the Project Director and Operations Team, work closely with the Project Director and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Provide commercial support to operations, ensuring all project decisions are financially sound and aligned with contractual obligations.

Collaborate with the Finance Team, build a strong partnership with the finance team to ensure financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting are aligned with project goals. Collaborate on financial decision-making to maintain project profitability and accountability.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement, lead efforts to engage with clients and key stakeholders in a client-centric manner, ensuring alignment with project objectives and expectations. Resolve potential disputes through effective communication and negotiation to maintain positive client relationships and minimize conflict.

Contract Practice, negotiate, execute, and manage various contract forms used in the FM and construction industries. Ensure compliance with contract law, legislation, and industry standards, protecting the company's interests throughout project delivery.

Contract Administration, administer contracts related to healthcare PFI projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are met, including payment mechanisms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure projects align with legal and financial expectations.

Conflict Avoidance, Management & Dispute Resolution, proactively manage and resolve disputes using conflict resolution techniques such as adjudication and arbitration. Handle disputes in a client-centric manner, mitigating risks through effective negotiation and communication to ensure disputes are resolved with minimal disruption to client relationships.

Project Finance Control, implement effective cost control and financial reporting for both FM and construction contracts. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and lifecycle cost management to ensure profitability and value for money across projects.

Quantification and Costing of Construction Works (CAPEX), manage the quantification and costing of construction works, with a focus on CAPEX and lifecycle replacements. Oversee accurate cost estimation and financial planning to ensure projects stay on budget.

Procurement and Tendering, lead procurement strategies for goods and services, managing pre-qualification, tender processes, and contractor selection. Ensure all procurement processes are competitive, transparent, and compliant with project goals.

Risk Management, develop and implement risk management strategies for healthcare PFI contracts. Identify and mitigate risks to protect project delivery and profitability.

Data Management, oversee the collection, storage, and use of project data, ensuring data systems are effective for decision-making, financial reporting, and contract management.

Maintenance Management, deliver planned and reactive maintenance services through in-house teams and external contractors. Ensure maintenance operations align with project objectives and contractual obligations.

Work Progress and Supervision, supervise the progress of FM and construction contracts, ensuring high-quality workmanship and service delivery throughout the construction and operational phases. Maintain compliance with project specifications and contractual standards
