Regional Engineering Support Manager
Location: Hybrid with regular travel to sites across the South of England. (Anglia, London, South East and South West)
Salary: £45,303.07 per annum
Contract: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd to provide expert technical management information related to safe systems of work, compliance, and the operation of building services engineering systems. In this role, you will support GFSL and MoJ project teams with accurate technical guidance, contractor evaluation, and compliance monitoring while ensuring health and safety regulations are met. You will also contribute to the development of technical training, auditing procedures, and risk management strategies.
As Regional Engineering Support Manager, you will provide specialist technical and operational support in your field (either Electrical or Mechanical) to GFSL management and site-based operational teams. Acting as a principal point of contact for resolving technical engineering challenges, you will work closely with on-site teams across all trade disciplines, from hard to soft facilities services, to ensure a safe and secure environment. This role offers the opportunity to develop into a Regional Engineering Manager, working alongside senior stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS, and are looking for a Regional Engineering Support Manager with:
- An NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline
- An existing HNC or equivalent qualification in a building services engineering discipline or ability and willingness to develop /achieve this within two years of role commencement
- Experience delivering technical building services work at a tradesperson level
- Extensive experience as a Manager or Supervisor in a technical building services role
- Experience as an Authorised Person with operational experience of managing high risk tasks
- Experience of working within a high security environment
- An IOSH certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
