Hunter Mental Health is currently working alongside an excellent Children's Looked After team and assisting in their search for a locum Social Worker.

Key details of the position:

Job Title - Registered Social Worker (MUST have 2 years post AYSE experience)
Location - Barnet
Duration - 3 months on going
Schedule -  Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Start Date - September 2024
Rate of pay - £35.21 - £36.88ph (Umbrella)

Job Description:

● Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. Advocating the voices of those we are working with.

● Proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making.

● Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).

● Knowledge of relevant theory and statutory legislation (for example Children's Act) and national policy drivers that will affect children's services and your role.

● Strong experience of assessing, reviewing children and young people's needs, and planning packages of care across a range of cases; able to explain professional reasoning judgements, and decision making.

● Demonstrable knowledge and application of a range of Interventions with children, young people and their families.

Requirements and qualifications required for this role:

Current and valid registration with the SWE
Proven experience within a Social Working role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Car driver to travel across multiple sites
Fully on site and hybrid/remote working to be discussed during interview (team can offer up to 2-3 days remote)
