About the Role

A confident and experienced Business Account Manager is needed for a home/telephone-based role. You will manage a panel of accounts for Financial Advice Intermediaries within a sales territory. Working alongside a Business Development Manager, you will gain and retain profitable business in the Savings and Retirement sector. This requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to present and position relevant propositions to intermediaries, and a commitment to delivering the best customer outcomes.

This role is remote, requiring motivation and prior sales experience in Savings and Retirement products (Pensions & Investments experience is essential).

About You

The ideal candidate will:

Platform Knowledge is essential e.g. Embark.

* Possess a high level of product knowledge in retirement, including services and technical support.

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to present information via phone and video conferencing.

* Apply technical knowledge accurately to adviser/client scenarios.

* Have strong market and competitor knowledge.

* Be a good listener with empathy towards customers.

* Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills.

* Be proficient in software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and relevant CRM systems.

* Be self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize workload.

* Work independently and as part of a team.

* Hold QCF Level 4 qualification or be willing to work towards it.

* Understand financial drivers and metrics, and how individual, account, and team goals relate to them.

* Have strong experience with life, pensions, savings, and retirement products (ideally with some knowledge of onshore bonds).

Key Responsibilities

Duties include:

* Meeting and exceeding targets and deadlines.

* Working alongside the Business Development Manager to achieve territory or panel targets, contribute to business planning, and review financial objectives.

* Meeting and exceeding business objectives and KPIs, including call volumes, quotations, applications, and business retention.

* Maintaining and increasing support from existing advisers and firms through calls, WebEx, and other video conferencing tools.

* Increasing the volume of supporting advisers at firm and panel levels within the territory.

* Developing and maintaining knowledge of:

* The overall Savings & Retirement proposition.

* Competitor product offerings and competitive positioning.

* Technical and sales skills to enhance personal effectiveness.

* Adhering to industry standards, policies, and procedures, including compliance and conduct risk.

* Keeping accurate records and reports for business purposes.
