Holden Knight Healthcare is excited to partner with a leading fostering agency in their search for a passionate Supervising Social Worker. This pivotal role will cover the North West region, focusing on foster carers based from Liverpool across to Burnley and up to Barrow.
About the Role: As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring that foster carers receive the support and guidance they need to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people. You will be responsible for supervising a caseload of foster carers, providing regular supervision, and ensuring compliance with all fostering regulations.
Main Duties:
- Offer comprehensive support and supervision to a network of foster carers.
- Conduct home visits, assessments, and reviews across the North West region.
- Liaise with local authorities, schools, and other agencies to ensure the well-being of children in foster care.
- Deliver training and development programs for foster carers.
- Ensure all documentation and reports are completed to a high standard and within statutory timeframes.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Proven experience in fostering or child protection.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK driving license with the ability to travel extensively across the North West.
