The role involves working with clients across a range of sectors, the teams verify the accuracy of financial statements for stakeholders such as shareholders, governments, tax authorities, banks, and customers. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audits, ensuring high-quality and transparent outcomes trusted by stakeholders.
- Work alongside global teams, collaborating with their Member Firms worldwide
- Develop efficient and coordinated global audit strategies for multinational clients
- Manage complex projects and teams, often working across multiple locations
- Travel internationally to oversee audit engagements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- ACCA/ACA/ICAS qualified (or overseas equivalent) with solid technical expertise
- Experience in managing, coaching, and developing junior staff
- Strong knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting standards
- Experience challenging management and navigating difficult conversations
- Familiarity with financial products, regulation, and compliance (including anti-money laundering)
- Experience designing audit strategies based on substantive auditing
- A proven ability to manage complex projects and teams with multiple milestones
- Experience with reviewing financial statements and identifying risks
Desirable Skills:
- Sector-specific experience relevant to the firm's audited entities
- Experience auditing international groups and managing cross-border engagements
- Expertise in designing audit strategies that incorporate controls and IT environments
- Familiarity with conducting group audits under ISA 600
