Support WorkerSlough3 month contractMain Purpose of the Role:To provide high-quality housing-related support to service users with a range of needs in line with client-led actions identified in their support plans, and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.Support Worker Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to adults with diverse needs, enhancing their strengths to help clients achieve their aspirations in various areas of personal interest.
  • Improve each client's quality of life by preventing homelessness, promoting, or maintaining independent living skills, and facilitating appropriate move-on options.
  • Provide support through individualized safety planning, aspirations assessments, and one-to-one keywork sessions.
  • Assist service users in attending educational, leisure, and health-related activities, and accompany them as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate service user records and other related documentation, including electronic records on our organisational system.
  • Perform housing management functions such as rent collection, reporting repairs, and managing tenancy/licence commencements and terminations.
  • Encourage and promote effective multi-agency working to mitigate service user risks and meet their needs and aspirations to a high standard. Establish close contacts with various communities and statutory and voluntary organisations.

Support worker Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering housing-related support.
  • Strong understanding of independent living skills and homelessness prevention.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle, and business insurance.
  • Enhanced DBS certification.
