Sellick Partnership are looking to appoint to a Finance Accounting Lead for our Public Sector client in Sheffield.

Purpose of the Job - Assistant Accountant:

• To support the Accountancy Manager in proactively contributing towards the efficient and effective delivery of the organisations strategic objectives
• Preparation and monitoring of Cashflows and Treasury Management
• Accounting for Fixed Assets and Capital spend
• Producing working papers to support the monthly financial reporting and statutory accounts

Key Responsibilities - Finance Accounting Lead

• Support drafting cash flow forecasts
• Maintain fixed assets and capital accounting records
• Provide effective monitoring of capital, treasury management and financial accounting
• Support on Treasury Management
• To monitor capital spend
• Assist with year-end procedures
• To prepare statutory returns

Person Specification- Assistant Accountant:

• AAT Qualified
• A good understanding of accounting
