Role - Senior CAD Design Engineer position
Location - Close to Norwich, Norfolk
Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full time hours
Salary - Up to £45,000 per annum
Capacity of role - Permanent position

Our client is a leading manufacturer who is looking to add to the drawing office based close to Norwich within a full time and permanent basis.
Candidates will need working experience fulfilling similar duties within a previous role.
An immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Main duties will include -
• Microsoft Office, Excel and Word duties
• Produce all documentation to enable client review/approval of our designs, which may lead to drawing revision following client reviews
• Guiding each customer through their project via telephone, email and in person
• Issuing drawings to production for manufacture
• CNC machining backup knowledge
• Assisting with surveys
• Produce stock lists for procurement purposes
• Liaising with internal and external Projects key contacts, to qualify the requirements and detail for drawings, capturing all elements of the work to be drafted.
• Work to an agreed lead times or client programs. Ensure that both project and individual deadlines are met.
• Working to current British regulations

Candidate attributes -
• Strong Technical Design and AutoCAD skills.
• Be technically minded with problem solving and a flexible, can-do attitude
• Commercially aware, seek opportunities to save costs, without compromising quality.
• Be dynamic, eager to learn and work as part of an energetic and outgoing team
• Have excellent numerical and literacy skills.
• Have an eye for detail, a taste for design and a desire to create
• Have a willingness to learn, and a flair for problem solving and precision
• The ability to understand construction methods and the mathematical processes involved
• A relevant qualification in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD would be beneficial.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word is essential.
