As the Chef Manager at Pitsford School, you will take full responsibility for the catering operation, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality meals for students and staff. Your role will include menu development, supplier management, stock control, and cost efficiency, while also ensuring a fantastic dining experience.
You will also play a key role in school functions and events, working closely with staff to provide excellent catering services. This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef with strong leadership skills who is passionate about food, innovation, and team management.

Job Description - Oversee food preparation and meal service for the prep school and nursery
- Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety are maintained
- Plan and develop menus that meet the needs of students and staff
- Manage stock control and order supplies as needed
- Control food budgets and ensure cost-effective operations
- Ensure meals are nutritious, balanced, and cater to dietary requirements
- Monitor and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation
- Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment within the kitchen team
Qualifications - Experience in a similar chef or kitchen management role
- Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene certification (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen management
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Passion for quality food and a commitment to high standards of service
