O'Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting for a MEP Services Coordinator for our Client, a well-known international company with various ongoing projects across Ireland and Europe.
This is a North Dublin based role.
MEP Services Coordinator:
- Conduct a comprehensive analysis of M&E design information during the tender phase to identify and communicate any design deficiencies to the bidding team.
- Supervise, coordinate, and manage the distribution of M&E design data to ensure it is released promptly for construction tasks.
- Verify that M&E information intended for construction has undergone a thorough review by interface designers and the construction team, and that it aligns with the project specifications before being issued for construction.
- Contribute to Construction, Design, and Management and Health and Safety considerations.
- Scrutinize project drawings and technical specifications for any inconsistencies or disparities
- Management of the mechanical, electrical, and associated services and representing these parties at site meetings, including reporting on progress
- Chairing technical services meetings with subcontractors and/or members of the design team.
- Liaise with design team and client as they relate to the services installation
- Programming the works of subcontractors to suit main contract programme
- Ensure the building works are progressing in accordance with design and programme to suit installation of services
- Arranging the signing off all services installation with design team
- Ensuring the commissioning of all systems is complete prior to practical completion
- Ensuring that all operations and maintenance manuals, as built drawings and commissioning reports are complete prior to practical completion
- Ensuring that all surveys of existing installations and the preparation of all coordination drawings are complete in advance of works commencing
- Managing services demonstrations and handover process
- Managing compliance with BCAR requirements
- Snagging & de-snagging
- Post hand over liaison
MEP Service Coordinator REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant qualification Degree in Building Services or associated field. (Engineering - Mechanical / Electrical)
- Previous Main Contractor experience is desirable.
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft Office applications as well as an understanding of AutoCad and BIM Modelling.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ideally have at least 7 years' experience in building services coordination in Ireland and the UK.
