My client is a modern, forward thinking firm of Chartered Accountants who has experienced significant growth over the past few years. They are now looking to take on a Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant to work with a varied portfolio of clients.This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic firm and work with a great team of people in a varied role where you will have regular client contact and excellent career development opportunities.Responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with clients and entering payroll data from start to finish accurately
• Running weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payroll for clients and dealing with payroll related queries
• Reconciling payroll to client data, getting client approval as appropriate and issuing payroll reports & payslips
• Preparing payroll journals
• Day to day bookkeeping for clients using Xero and QuickBooks
• Dealing effectively with queries from clients and HMRC
