Are you a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a hands-on role with variety, responsibility, and great rewards? We are currently seeking a Mobile Fitter to join our team based at our Wolverhampton branch. This is a fantastic opportunity to work both on customer sites and in the branch workshop, carrying out diagnostics, diesel engine repairs, and pump maintenance.

As a Mobile Fitter, you'll also be part of a call-out rota with standby pay and generous overtime — ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Mobile Fitter:

Carry out repairs and fault diagnostics on diesel engine equipment across customer sites and in the Wolverhampton branch workshop

*

Perform regular servicing and maintenance on pump rental fleet equipment

*

Complete all job-related reports accurately using a tablet system and submit them promptly

*

Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas and company vehicles are clean, tidy, and safe

*

Adhere to PPE and health & safety requirements at all times

*

Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers, ensuring a professional approach on-site

*

Complete daily vehicle defect reports and follow company procedures and instructions accurately

Skills & Experience Required:

*

NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualifications/work experience)

*

Previous experience with diesel engines, pumps, or similar mechanical systems

*

Full UK driving licence - essential due to the mobile nature of the role

*

Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and manage workload across Wolverhampton and surrounding areas

*

Willingness to participate in a call-out rota including evenings and weekends
