About the Role
A mainstream school based in NG15 is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with complex needs starting in January 2025. The school are hosting trials this week and next and will be looking to appoint the right candidate, swiftly.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with complex special educational needs.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to deliver individualized learning plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting the pupil's engagement and development.
Assist with personal care needs, where required.
Monitor progress and adapt support strategies to meet evolving needs.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to the pupil's care and learning.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly complex needs.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learning and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health & Social Care) is desirable but not essential.
