Position: Ocean Export Operator

Location: Witham, Essex

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

Hours: Mon - Fri - 9am - 17:30

Due to continued expansion plans, we are now recruiting for an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join a dedicated team based from their branch in Witham, Essex.

Ocean Export Operator Position:

Providing a valuable service in our Ocean Freight department, to organise the safe, efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods for Deep Sea exports.

Ocean Export Operator Responsibilities:

Handling FCL and LCL imports from the Far East and other origins on a start/finish basis
Providing a high level of customer service at all times and building good business relationships with clients
Liaising with customers, overseas agents and shipping lines
Booking jobs onto the in-house system
Arranging customs clearances / entries
Dealing with any clearance queries/problems and resolving to minimise delays
Arranging deliveries
Keeping customers advised and updated at all stages of the import process
Invoicing and administration
Handling export quotationsKey Skills & Experience

Ocean export experience
Strong knowledge of Ocean export procedures and documentation
Knowledge of customs entries
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work to deadlines with accuracy
Ability to work well within a small team and use own initiative
Computer literate
Flexible and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn new skillsCompensation & Benefits
