Project Manager/Estimator

We are working with an expanding principal contractor based in Crawley, they are looking for a Project manager/estimator. You are too primarily to administrate pre-construction professional services contracts and to also assist within their estimating team, to create estimates for a range of hot and cold rolled steel projects varying in value from £50k up to a £5m.  

Key Responsibilities

Liaise with prospective clients to determine their pre-construction professional service requirements
Create estimates for pre-construction services for example soil, as built and topographical surveys, architectural & planning services, civil, drainage & structural engineering and building control
Work with our network of consultants to provide up to date pricing
Manage all live professional service contracts

Diary management - booking consultants to attend for site surveys
Attending site to meeting consultants conducting their surveys
Follow up on results & reports
Communicate all results to clients
Manage the payment plans for the agreed contract for deposit and completion payments
Manage the payment of consultants on completion of their services
Estimate steel frame building projects including groundwork & construction, using online software and Excel

Key skills:

IT proficient, particular with the Microsoft package
Experience of an online project management system
Excellent communication skills within the office team and with clients
Attention to detail
Team player but also happy to work by themselves
Ability to meet deadlines
Driving licence essential
