Family-owned Food Business looking for an Assistant Technical Manager for their site based in Northamptonshire. To work closely with the Technical Manager and team to ensure all products are safe, legal, authentic and fulfil quality expectations of customers and consumers.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

· Providing specifications and legal labelling functions to the Technical Team

· Providing primary technical support for all Product Development Projects

· Significantly contributing to maintenance of Site Certifications (BRC / RT / Organic/ BMPA) and any new standards the site will work towards

· Ensuring labelling, product and packaging comply with all current UK regulations.

Essential / Desirable skills include:

· Wide-ranging technical skills in all core technical functions

· Proven experience of BRC, customer and retailer audits

· Knowledge of retailer requirements and standards

· Experience in a technical management or supervision role ideally within chilled high-risk manufacturing

The salary for the role is £40k - £45k per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.
