Your job role as a Children's Support Worker will involve you working closely with children in care and putting them at the centre of everything you do. Your day to day role will require you to support them in all aspects of their lives such as educational pursuits, hobbies and activities

Your experience and support will be influential in developing and contributing towards positive outcomes to help shape the future of children and young people.

You should be highly motivated, committed and have a genuine interest in delivering the highest quality of care for children and young people. With Nurseplus you will work across a variety of settings including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging behaviour, Education and Residential.

Responsibilities of a Children's Support Worker:

To support, safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people
Assist with daily routines which may include working in the community and/or educational setting
Organising and facilitating social activities
Transportation
Work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
Offer high levels of supervision and support
Working in line with Ofsted and CQC regulations
Manage complex behaviours and crisis intervention
Contributing to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
What Nurseplus needs from you as a Children's Support Worker:

A minimum of 12 months post qualification experience working within a child and/or young adults setting
All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
Knowledge in one of the following areas EBD, SEMH, CSE or SEN/SEND
Diploma level 3 / children's and young people, desirable level 4
