Machine Operative Night Shift, (Engineering Bias), Newmarket, £27k during 3-month on days training then increasing to £33,800

Monday to Thursday 4-night shift 6pm to 6am (weekly pay)

Global manufacturer supplying white label products with ambitious growth plans, is seeking a night shift Machine Operative to strengthen their Production team within a high-class modern facility which provides an excellent working environment. Ideally you will have worked in a production environment with a broad understanding of engineering processes and controls. This opportunity offers excellent training, a friendly atmosphere, working with a great team of passionate, likeminded machine operators and engineers that consistently deliver high quality and high output to meet challenging targets.

You will be responsible for monitoring a continuous production line, including quality control procedures and taking appropriate measures to counter any problems that may occur. Previous experience of operating production machinery will be an advantage. Full training of the machinery will be included in the package to the successful person. Due to the nature of this role you to be physically fit and capable of some lifting along with a good eye for detail. You must possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Key responsibilities include:

* Support the Manufacturing Team in meeting output and quality targets.

* Ensure all products are manufactured in line with the monthly production plan, ensuring strict compliance with company's product specifications and quality standards.

* Fully aware of the quality requirements of the products being manufactured and be responsible for reporting any difficulties or non-conformances, immediately, to the Shift Supervisor.

* Be fully conversant with all relevant equipment operating procedures and to ensure that these operating procedures are followed correctly.

* Be fully conversant with, and to work within the company's Health and Safety Policy guidelines.

Guidelines include:

* Fire equipment and fire evacuation Procedures

* Manual Lifting and Handling

* Use of protective clothing and protective equipment

* Use of equipment

You will provide support where necessary to manufacturing engineering and product/process improvement projects and maintain an organized, clean, tidy and safe approach to all work situations within the manufacturing area to fully support and adhere to the Company's housekeeping standards.
