Salary: £260 - £295/day

Excellent opportunity to join a leading Civils and Groundworks Contractor working on a large residential groundworks and civils project in North East Yorkshire.

This scheme with comes with roads, sewers, drainage, groundworks, hard landscaping and 278 works.

Duties will include:

* Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.

* Control and management of sub contract resources to the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency.

* The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.

* Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Project Delivery Team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.

* Proven experience as a Groundworks Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.

* Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.

* Proficient in operating relevant machinery and tools.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

* A valid driving licence is preferred

Must have:

* Valid SMSTS/SSSTS

* CSCS Card

* Groundworks and civils experience.

Duties
- Carry out groundworks including drainage, installation, and site preparation.
- Supervise and manage a team of workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Liaise with project managers to report progress and address any issues that arise during the project.
- Assist in training new staff members in safe working practices and operational procedures.

Requirements
- Proven experience in groundworks or a related field is essential.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A valid driver's licence may be required for site travel
