£24,294.00 - £24,702.00 per annum

37 hours per weeks - 52 weeks per year

Unique School Solutions are supporting a Secondary School in the Barnsley area to appoint a Data and Exams Assistant on a full-time basis from September 2024 or as soon as possible.

The appointed Data and Exams Assistant will assist with the processing of all external and internal examination procedures to ensure the smooth running of all examinations, controlled assessments and vocational qualifications.

Essential requirements for the role:

* 5 GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or above (inc English and Maths)

* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package

* Previous experience working in a school administration capacity would be advantageous

* Working knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice and legislation

* Ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions, to balance potentially conflicting demands and be able to work to deadlines

* High level of organisation and record keeping skills

* Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

* Preparation and distribution of results notifications for students on results day as well as supporting with any queries with awarding bodies

* Collating and preparing certificates for distribution on presentation/prize giving evening

* Support with processing entries and amendments using Bromcom examinations module ensuring all deadlines are kept to and late fees are avoided for each examination season

* Liaising with facilities management to prepare the examinations hall

* Supporting the preparation and development of a student handbook to include all relevant information of the exam series such as entry lists, timetables, notices and instructions for student conduct

* Support the preparation of seating plans, place cards, notices and any other requisite materials to ensure that the examinations proceed in accordance within statutory guidelines as well as managing the entry and exit of students into the examinations hall to ensure a calm and orderly examination

* Supporting the analysis of examination results by subject for Heads of Department

* Contributing to the academy's examinations policy, ensuring it is up to date and meets the JCQ requirements

* Supporting the preparation of data for statutory returns e.g. academy Census

* Contributing to target setting processes for all admissions using KS2 data, CATs and KS3 data

* Creating bespoke reports in Bromcom

* Supporting the timely and accurate entry and processing of data relating to students including personal details, achievement, attainment, behaviour, demographics and other areas required by the academy
